Y'ALL DON'T HEAR ME celebrated the values and legacy of Black Appalachian culture through the works of native and local Black artists from across the 13 Appalachian states. The exhibition captured the community’s beauty while shedding light on its lesser-known aspects. Drawing inspiration from interior design, the galleries were curated as ideal, art-inspired home settings, each representing a different era—past, present, and future. Interactive furniture, poetry, and a curated playlist enriched the immersive experience for visitors. As part of this exhibition, Mikael Owunna showcased select images from his Infinite Essence series.
